After dropping the in-person mode in 2020 and 2021, the SHRM-Stoodnt Biotech and Biomedical Summer School Program is back this year. We are also running the Online Biotech-Biomedical Summer Program in parallel. As we all know, Biotech and Biomedical experiments are more effective when done in the lab (in-person) unlike Bioinformatics and Computational Biology.

Offline Biotech and Pre-Medical Summer Program 2022
Biotechnology and Biomedicine is one of science and technology’s most advanced, dynamic, productive, and developing areas. Physics, chemistry, biology, engineering, and mathematics concepts are merged to build innovations for the enhancement of human life in this discipline. Who Can Attend the Biotech-Biomedical Summer Program?
It is designed for high school students who want to learn about molecular biology, microbiology, virology, biochemistry, forensic science, drug development, and other topics at a college level. This summer program is designed for students in grades 8 through 12 who are passionate about biology, biotechnology, and medicine.
Summer Program Curriculum
Students will get to do some interesting practicals like:-
- DNA extraction from Strawberry
- Agarose gel electrophoresis of the extracted DNA
- Know what you are eating- food quality analysis
- Determine your own blood group by ABO blood typing
- Visualize bacteria under a microscope by staining techniques
- Detection of Sickle-cell Anaemia by Leishman’s staining of Red Blood Cells

This offline summer program will focus on practicals. However, there would be 15-30 minutes of theory/lecture. We recommend you attend the Online Biotech-Biomedical Summer Program (12 hours) or Online Bioinformatics & Computational Biology Summer Program (12 hours) as well in addition to Offline Program.
The online program is priced at Rs. 11,800 (Early-Bird: Rs.10,030) and the Offline Program is priced at Rs. 20,000 (Early-Bird: Rs. 16,000). If you sign up for both Online and Offline programs, the net price would be Rs. Rs. 22,000 for a total of 34 hours of theory, practicals, live demonstration, and at-home experiments (instead of Rs. 26,030 or Rs. 31,800).

Summer Program Trainers
It will assist students in learning about the subject and gaining practical experience.
