What was the idea behind launching Thriive Art & Soul?

I founded Thriive Art & Soul in 2017 after a curated quest for over decades of exploring spiritual conquests and meeting the top living masters of the world that includes Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Sadhguru and Master Choa Kok Sui, to name just a few, who spurred me on my own journey.

As time passed by, I realized that alternative health was on everyone’s minds. Everyone around me was looking for plausible solutions to a myriad of physical, mental, and emotional issues. As I realized and observed that more and more people were looking for a more integrative lifestyle, I found the need to know about one myself. With a lot of things happening around me, I felt like some force within me was saying, “You didn’t have the luck to learn all this just for yourself! It’s time to share it with the world.” That’s when I knew I had to start this venture!

Do you think wellness as an industry is going to see unprecedented growth in the next few years?

There are no two ways about the fact that the health and wellness industry has evolved at a fast pace. Yoga, Ayurveda, Homeopathy & Naturopathy are a few of the most popular and searched for alternative therapies in India. Brands catering to wellness, fitness, and organic products are booming in the market and everyone wants to shift their focus to holistic well-being.

If the FICCI estimates are to be believed, the wellness industry is set to grow at a CAGR of nearly 12% for the next 5 years, and reach an estimated high of Rs 1.5 trillion by 2020.

What does it take to be an entrepreneur in the wellness sector?

I believe strong grit, determination, and to believe in yourself when nobody else does is confident about it is the most important. When it comes to the wellness sector, I believe you must know everything about what you are doing and should be strong enough to take things in your stride.

What are the challenges?

The main challenges in the field today is to find a verified therapist in a health platform. That, in every way is something that we are already working on. Thriive is the only wellness platform in the country currently that helps people with getting connected to verified therapists.

What are the career opportunities in the wellness domain?

To be active and contributing to the wellness space you could become an alternative therapist.

There are over 150 alternative therapies that are there on Thriive Art & Soul many therapists practice a few of them. Another great way is if you feel passionate about wellness you can start a local wellness center where therapists can come and take their sessions.

What is the job responsibility of a wellness therapist?

A wellness therapist needs to be responsible and ethical above all. He/She needs to be highly acceptable and considerate in terms of the current mental, physical and emotional condition and the overall history of the patient. As a trade, it is important to be aware and upgrade their skills and knowledge like any profession.

How does one become a wellness therapist?

Study the particular therapy via certified institutes get a certification, start working under experienced therapists.

What are the courses to learn wellness therapy?

Depends on the therapy, different therapies have different courses. For example, yoga can be learnt from The Yoga Institute that is popular. There are various teacher training programs workshops for beginners and therapists to upgrade their skills.

Where do you see Thriive Art & Soul in the next five years?

Thriive Art & Soul is my dream project. It is a platform that will, boom to become one of the most trusted wellness brands in the world. But the immediate plan is to provide convenience to users to find the best therapists that they need.
