It’s true that PCM and/or PCB subject combination opens up a plethora of career opportunities. But, not studying PCM or PCB does not shut down all your career options. But, is your future doomed if you didn’t study PCM,  PCB or Science in Class 12? This post will give you an overview of the major career options and their subject requirements. Finally, we will have a look at the hot careers without Math, PCM or PCB.

Before moving to the career options that do not require math or science, let’s have a look at the careers that require PCB, PCM or Mathematics in Class 12 (10+2) level.

Don’t assume these are the only career options after 12th if you have PCM combination. However, you must have PCM in Class 12 in order to pursue the above career paths.

Likewise, if you aspire to pursue a career in medicine, dentistry, biomedical sciences, biomedical engineeringagricultural science,  food science, biotechnology, you must study PCB in Class 12.

Career Options That Require Mathematics in Class 12

Even if you do not take PCM or PCB in Grade 12, but include Math, you could still unlock some of the technical career paths like Computer Applications, Architecture, Data Analytics, Actuarial Science, etc.

You can even pursue a Bachelors in Computer Science in Engineering in the US if you have got Math in Class 12. You do not need to have PCM in Class 12 for studying Computer Science and Engineering in the US at the undergraduate level.

  1. Sapose I want to be a scientist, but I don’t want to do math in my career then what should I do

      You could consider a scientific career in biological or life sciences. However, please be advised that you will need to do basic Maths if you wish to be a good scientist 🙂
