  • Security Architect
  • Cybersecurity Manager
  • Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)

  1. Network Security Engineer

One of the most critical positions in every organization is the position of a network security engineer. The main job of the security engineer is to ensure that all the security systems are placed in order within the organization to counter and stop threats. Their main responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining systems
  • Identifying vulnerabilities

  • Routers
  • Switches
  • Various network monitoring tools
  • VPNs (Virtual private networks)

  1. Cybersecurity Analyst

Cybersecurity analyst work is to plan, implement, and upgrade security controls and measures. Their main aim is to continuously monitor security access and perform various external and internal security audits to ensure that there is no evidence of security lapses or loopholes.

A cybersecurity analyst is also responsible for:

  • Conducting vulnerability testing
  • Risk analyses
  • Security assessments
  • Managing the network

  1. Security Architect

A security architect plays an essential role in designing the network and computer security architecture for an organization. They also help in planning, researching, and developing elements of security. An organization’s security system is vulnerable to attacks without a security architect. You can only be eligible for the post of Security Architect when you have proper certification in cybersecurity from any reputable institution.

Firstly, the security architect creates a design based on the requirement of the company and then coordinate with the programming team, which helps to build the final structure. Besides making the architecture, they also develop specific policies and procedures on how the company’s employees should use the security systems. In the case of lapses, security architect can decide on the punitive action.

  1. Cybersecurity Manager

Maintenance of security protocols throughout the organization is looked after by cybersecurity managers. Their main aim is to create specific strategies, which will increase the network and internet security of an organization related to different projects.

Cybersecurity managers also manage a team of IT professionals to ensure the highest standards of data security. They frequently ensure that the existing security policies can get rid of new threats. They also perform regular checks to avoid any loopholes.

  1. Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)

A study conducted by PWC found that over 80% of companies now have a CISO on the management team. The survey shows that companies are now aware of the threats of cybercrimes and their consequences.

The CISO is a senior executive, within an organization, who is entrusted with the responsibility of working closely with other employees to help make sure that there are no security breaches. They respond to incidents and set up appropriate controls and standards to mitigate security risks without causing any interruption to the business. Also, they oversee the implementation of security policies and procedures within the organization.
