Williams has three academic branches: languages and the arts, social sciences, and science and mathematics. It also had graduate programs in the history of art and economics. Williams has small class sizes with a 7 to 1 student-teacher ratio. The college also has Oxford-style tutorials which are heavily reliant on student participation.
